Wow! I apologize for not blogging sooner. It has now been over a month since we’ve had the kids! We’ve been through so much. We’ve had two trips to Tampa for Thanksgiving and then for Christmas.
We’ve been busy getting the kids situated in speech therapy, WIC, going to the doctor, and finding a daycare. The state requires the kids attend daycare for atleast part of each day. That was no fun process to find one for them that would take the state-issued voucher, had openings for THREE children, and was any good! Starting Tuesday, though, they will be attending preschool. We are super excited that we found a good one where they can all be together. Of course, I wish they could stay home with me but I know it will be good for Michael Paul and I to have some special time and for me to be able to get some errands done during the day! Can’t exactly take 4 toddlers grocery shopping!
The kids are getting adjusted. They are just blossoming. Both of the boys speech has improved remarkably just in their 5 weeks at our house. Baby girl is getting attached to me. She will be playing on the floor and when we walk by, she just wants to be held so bad! This week we began the task of weaning her from the pacifier and she is doing great! We are preparing to move her into Michael Paul’s bedroom when she turns one on January 28th.
We have had three visits where the kids’ mom did not show up to visit them. It is very disheartening (more on that later). Luckily, the kids do not know where they are going when we go for visits.
Michael Paul is definitely loving have two brothers! He wakes up in the morning excited to see “the boys.” Of course, he still doesn’t love sharing but he’s getting used to it. He has become the leader of the pack-leading the boys in song, dance, and getting into trouble!!!!! It’s funny to watch him bully and boss them, small as he is. He also LOVES baby girl. He just can’t get enough of helping me take care of her.
Hoping to update more. We have gotten MORE than what we need for now. Thank you all for your generosity. As more needs arise we will let you know. Thank you!
