Last week we went home to Tampa to celebrate Mothers’ Day with my mom and sister (a soon-to-be mama!). We arrived Saturday afternoon and that evening, go to go to Raymond James stadium (where the Bucs play) for a concert under the stars by the Tampa Bay Symphony Orchestra. This concert is given every year for the employees of Raymond James and their families so my sister was able to score us tickets. It was a nice night and MP loved seeing the instruments and being at the football stadium!
Sunday we spent the day with family. The girls wound up doing far too much work for it being Mother’s Day so we resolved that next year, we are going out and the boys can buy! Overall though it was a nice day. It still feels weird to be celebrated on Mother’s Day since I had grown so accustomed to celebrating my mom and grandma that day. It was neat to get excited about my sister Jen’s new baby which is due in November! She is 12 weeks along! So exciting!
Monday we headed out to use our Busch Gardens passes which we had gotten when we visited back in January. Michael Paul absolutely LOVES the animals and he even rode a few rides this time including the sky ride, the log flume and he drove a little car. He was in heaven. Here are a few select pics from BG.

Tuesday we got to head to the Florida Aquarium where we also have year passes to with my family. They have a fun water play area which Michael Paul adored. We also got to see the penguins which he didn’t see last time we were there so that was really exciting for him.

We rounded out the day with lunch in Ybor CIty, naps and then had dinner with my whole family at one of my favorite Tampa restaurants, Gus’ Cafe.
Wednesday was our last full day there and we got up bright and early to head to St. Pete beach. We spent about 4 hours enjoying the water and sand. There were not a lot of people there so that was really nice and the water was still so cool. Quite enjoyable! We feasted that night on Asian cuisine at the Uy household and my mom got to come which was nice.
Thursday we got up, packed, had lunch with my nephew and his mom and then headed home. Overall it was a really nice trip and we enjoyed ourselves. It was nice not having to spend a lot of money but still having a great time together as a family. Michael Paul is just really getting to the age where he is so much fun and really enjoys things!
Next stop: Jacksonville for our first summer fundraising trip and a beach visit to my Aunt Kathie and Uncle Neil.
