Started a Bible study today on David which is a combination of messages from Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, and Priscilla Shirer. If you’ve never heard of Priscilla Shirer, neither had I. But, after hearing her first message, you can sum her up by saying she’s (in her own words) the “chocolate” version of Beth Moore. This is a short excerpt from the first message, so powerful it sent chills up my spine. How different would our life look if we operated in these truths on a daily basis? Enjoy.

That’s right! It’s potty time in our house this week!!!! Michael Paul is about to turn 3 years old (say what?!) on November 29th so it is time to start thinking about the potty. We’ve really been wanting to try it out sooner but, with all of our traveling this summer, we thought it best to wait till life got a little less crazy (ha, yeah right), or at least till we were in town for more than one week at a time.
Last weekend we traveled to Tampa for my sister’s baby shower and returned on Sunday night. So, promptly Monday morning, we took off MP’s diaper, and never looked back! I did a lot of reading and talking with friends on the subject, and decided to go cold turkey on the diapers (with the exception of nap and night time–for which we are trying out Claire’s cloth diapers we have already purchased!).
MP and I blocked out this whole week with nothing on the calendar except us and the potty and he has been running around the house bare-bottomed with only a shirt on. It’s kind of funny to see.
But, it is working! He is doing so well and has only had 1 1/2 accidents in 3 days! He is even able to tell me when he needs to go #2 and then, go! I can’t believe my baby boy is growing up! I am just relieved to know I will only have one baby in diapers when Claire arrives.
Keep praying he does well, especially when we leave the house with him in underpants the first time!
